It’s with very heavy hearts that the Mancuso family announces the heartbreaking passing of our beloved husband, dad, papa and friend of many, John Mancuso. He was taken by God’s angels up to heaven where he belongs, while he was watched and surrounded by his family on Wednesday November 22nd, 2017 at 13:00 in the afternoon, where he laid comfortably and happy at home.

Loving husband of Kathy. He will be remembered by his daughters Carrie Mancuso and Jennefer (Ken) Mancuso-Duguay. Papa of Cassandra (Caile) Appleton and Cameron Mancuso.

Predeceased by his parents Francesco and Maria Mancuso and his siblings Polly (Ignes) Genys, Nicky (Bud) Joliff and Jimmy (Elvira) Mancuso. Survived by Joseph (Raqual) and Suzie Lemieux (John). Uncle to many nieces and nephews.

John was a firefighter with the Sault Ste. Marie Fire Department for 25 years and Deputy Chief for 5 years before retiring. John enjoyed working, joking and laughing with his many friends and coworkers at the fire department.

Family and friends are invited to call at O’Sullivan Funeral Home and Cremation Centre (215 St. James Street) on Tuesday, November 28, 2017 from 11:00am – 2:00p.m. Funeral Service in the chapel to follow at 2:00pm with Father Pat Woods officiating.

The family would like to thank nurse and friend Dawn Dumas from Bayshore and the many special friends for their care and compassion shown to John and his family.

Memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
