1

On a night when the snow was coming down fast and furious, City of Sault Ste. Marie Public Works Dept. were out with snow plows trying to keep ahead of the game, clearing  snowy Sault roads.

In the wee hours of the morning on December 10, 2017, one of the plows hit a hydro pole at the bottom of St. Georges Ave. E. hill.

Whoops!

PUC crews were called out immediately and worked to replace the damaged pole.

Three homes in the immediate vicinity were affected for a brief period of time while a PUC crew cut power to the homes.

Power was out for about one and a half hours.

A homeowner that was affected said they heard a thud and bang about 3am and shared these pictures with saultonline.com.

The PUC crew included Cam (Cammy) Brockelbank, Matt Jakibchuk, Jordan Secondi and Curtis Deschamps.

Way to go fellas!
