8:05 AM UPDATE: Power has been restored to all customers, crews are still investigating the cause of the outage.
Sault Ste. Marie PUC is reporting an unplanned power outage Tuesday morning in the western part of the city.
About 1,114 customers lost power at 6:44 am, most likely caused from strong winds, crews are still investigating.
Areas affected include, Third line to Maki Road, Lakeshore Drive, Allen Side road and Airport road
