Would you like to share your singing and dancing skills? Each Soo Sings for Kids team requires a vocal and dance mentor to help it learn a musical number. This is a volunteer opportunity whose reward is transforming every-day employees from Sault Ste. Marie and area workplaces into prime stage performers.
Since 2013, Soo Sings for Kids has raised more than $90,000 for local children’s charities.
Here are a few thoughts from mentor Louise Stephens:
“It is wonderful to see co-workers step out of their comfort zones and end up with a polished performance. At the first rehearsal, they are quiet and singing softly and looking down at the music. But, by performance night, look out! They own the stage. There is a superb supportive environment back stage with teams cheering each other on. Most of all, it’s a lot of fun.”
Several dedicated mentors are now moving on and we thank them for their commitment.
