On January 19th, 2018 officers with the Patrol Services Division of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested 37 year old Jason Brown of North Street and 33 year old Thomas Kidder of no fixed address for break and enter.
It is alleged that just after 3:00 a.m. both males broke a window and entered a business in the 100 block of Queen Street while their faces were covered. The males had caused damage to property inside the business and attempted to take an amount of money.
Officers located the males inside of the business and they were taken into custody.
It is further alleged that on January 15th, 2018 the accused Jason Brown, broke into a business in the 0-100 block of Huron Street. The accused is alleged to have stolen just under $1,000 worth of items from the business and caused $3,000.00 in damage to the business in the process.
On January 17th, 2018 at 1:50 a.m. Mr. Brown entered a business in the 300 block of Wellington Street West where he caused damage to the inside of the business and took an amount of cash before fleeing the scene.
Mr. Kidder has been charged with one count of break and enter, one count of possession of break in instruments, one count of wearing a disguise with intent, and one count of breach of probation.
Mr. Brown has been charged with 3 counts of break and enter, 3 counts of wearing a disguise with intent, 3 counts of possession of break in instruments, and three counts of breach of probation. They were both held for bail court.
