On Thursday, January 25, 2018, The Crane Institute for Sustainability is delighted to announce the first in a series of Sault Ste. Marie climate change events for the public. The Crane Institute for Sustainability is a local not for profit organization engaged in sustainability and health promotion activities.
This first event, which will focus on buildings and infrastructure, will feature four experts with an unparalleled depth of knowledge on climate change, and climate change mitigation and adaptation.
During the event you will hear from the experts. There will also be a generous question and answer period. All of these events are intended to help residents of Sault Ste. Marie understand and take actions to protect themselves and their families from the effects of climate change. The intent of the event, is to help people make decisions and take action that will help reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
Creating strong community bonds is essential for any successful society to grow and mature on a responsible and sustainable level. Proper land stewardship and sustainment of resources is essential in preserving our beautiful planet and its lush life for future generations, to see and enjoy just as we do. Come out to the event and learn more about what we can do in Algoma Country to promote environmental sustainability.
Tickets are free and we ask that people register in advance. There will be free pizza for attendees.
