Male Arrested for Impaired Driving
On January 8th, 2018 officers with the Patrol Services Division of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested 25 year old Jake Desrosiers of Goulais Avenue for impaired driving.
Just before 1:00 a.m. officers observed the accused operating a motor vehicle at a high rate of speed on Whitney Avenue. Officers stopped the vehicle and found that the driver was operating the vehicle while his ability to do so was impaired by alcohol.
The accused was taken into custody and charged with one count of impaired driving and one count of operating a motor vehicle with a blood alcohol level that was over the legal limit. He will appear in court on February 26th, 2018.
Licence ban for 5 years minimum. Maybe taking a bus for a few years will make him think.
Come on kids.
I` m always glad when I see that impaired drivers are taken off the road, I know they always think they are okay to drive, but obviously they are putting their life at risk as well as the publics. It`s really not worth taking the chance, as I`m sure this young man will find out.
