Robert William Nadeau passed away on December 12, 2017 after a long illness, which he faced with courage and dignity.

He was buried in the family vault in Angaïs, Pyrénées atlantiques, France on 16 December.

He served with distinction as a Canadian diplomat and at the Ministry of Health and Welfare before finishing his career with the International Social Security Association in Geneva, Switzerland.

Bob will be remembered for his high ethical and moral standards; his friendliness and sense of humour; his love of his wife Michèle, his children Catherine and Véronique, and his grandchildren Frédéric, Estelle, Sophie and Alexandre; his wide intellectual culture; and his interest in world affairs, especially concerning Canada, France, Laos and Brazil.
