Purse snatched on Bay, suspects quickly arrested

One Male, One Female Arrested for Theft

On January 2nd, 2017 officers with the Patrol Services Division of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested 25 year old Nory Hogan of Pim Street and 30 year old Stephanie Tanner of Meadow Park Crescent for theft.

It is alleged that just after noon the two attended a business in the 500 block of Bay Street.

The two females took a purse from a customer inside the business and fled the area.

Officers located them at a business a short distance away attempting to use the victim’s bank card.

Both were taken into custody and charged with one count of theft under $5,000.

They will appear in court on February 12th, 2017.

  1. I knew Stephanie growing up . She needs rehab , and none of this 10 day bull . She needs 60-90 days . Doubt she’ll take it though if it’s offered . She has children that she can’t even shape up for . It’s really sad

  2. I`m very happy when I see that criminals are apprehended, I`m even happier when I see they don`t just get a slap on the wrist. Along with whatever sentence they receive I hope they receive counselling or rehabilitation if necessary.
