Are you looking for a community that will support your family’s interest in a nature-based early childhood approach?
Then Wild Roots is the place for you.
Wild Roots is a preschool program designed for children 2.5 – 5 years of age that takes place solely in a local outdoor natural space, with a focus on play/inquiry-based learning experiences. It will be facilitated by a registered early childhood educator using a parent cooperative model. Families of enrolled children will play an integral part in offering a half day program that integrates the Ontario government’s Early Learning curriculum framework, along with aspects of Waldorf and nature-based approaches.
Growing research indicates that there are many benefits to children learning with nature; growth in development, fostering ecological consciousness, and building healthy relationships with each other and the rest of the natural world.
