Two Males Charged With Theft

On February 11th, 2018 officers with the Patrol Services Division of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested 27 year old Tyler Taylor of Lansdowne Road for theft.

It is alleged that around 6:00 p.m. the accused attended a business in the 600 block of Great Northern Road where he selected $540 worth of merchandise and left the store without paying.  The accused left the area and was soon after located by police.

He was taken into custody and charged with one count of theft under $5,000, one count of possession of stolen property, two counts of breach of probation and one count of breach of undertaking.  He was held for bail court.

Vehicle Theft

On February 11th, 2018 officers with the Patrol Services Division of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested 37 year old Chard Guerin of Pilgrim Street for theft.

It is alleged that around 1:30 a.m. the accused caused damage to a lock box and stole a motor vehicle from a business in the 0-100 block of Great Northern Road.  Officers located the accused driving the motor vehicle on Chapple Avenue around 9:30 p.m. and conducted a traffic stop.

At that time, officers located several break in tools in the possession of the accused and he was taken into custody.  He has been charged with one count of mischief, one count of theft over $5,000, one count of possession of stolen property and one count of possession of break in tools.  He will appear in court on March 19th, 2018.
