Ontario is investing in the establishment of a software solutions and development centre in Sault Ste. Marie that will serve small to medium-sized businesses and create 30 jobs.
With funding from the province’s Northern Ontario Heritage Fund Corporation (NOHFC), The Createch Group will establish a new centre in Sault Ste. Marie that will help businesses use software to improve productivity.
The NOHFC is also investing in two other Sault Ste. Marie businesses:
– Alert Technologies Inc. is receiving $250,000 to develop a monitoring system that will be used in the mining industry to detect a loss of rock bolt load tension and bolt overloading that will improve safety and reduce costs.
– Sault Ste. Marie Innovation Centre is receiving $124,300 to implement a micro-grant program to help northern farms and food producers purchase equipment that will enhance their productivity and improve their environmental performance with projects such as composting, waste management, and irrigation.
