∼1971 – 2018∼ It is with deep sadness and sorrow that we announce the sudden passing of Karen Jennifer Pine, resident of Garden River First Nation.
The creator quietly and peacefully called her home on Wednesday, March 15, 2018.
Karen had a calling to venture many places and meet many people across Canada but, settled in Vancouver where she called home. She spoke of her experiences and always made a point to laugh. Although there was a distance she held her family bonds close.

She will be missed by partner Raymond Gauthier, her parents Charles Pine and Joanne Pine (Neyland), sister Linda Pine, brother Thomas Pine (Theresa Agawa).
Karen will be missed by many nieces and nephews, Ronald, Jason (Allysia Solomon), Malachi, Joanna, Cheyanne, Coleton (Jaydyn Edgar), Chastity, Kirsten and Anung, Ashley Gregoire (Raymond Gregoire) and a great nephew Michael, as well as too many other aunts and uncles to mention.
She was predeceased by paternal grandparents John Pine and Elizabeth Pine, maternal grandparents, Alexander Neyland and Edith Neyland, brother Mitchell Pine, brother Kevin Pine and nephew Curtis Pine, nephew Walter Duggan, niece Katherine Chmilewski-Pine.
