MPP Ross Romano extended congratulations and best wishes to Michele McCleave-Kennedy on Thursday evening after hearing news of her candidacy for the New Democratic Party for the June 7th election.
“I want to wish Ms. McCleave-Kennedy the very best in the weeks ahead,” said Romano. “Putting your name forward to run for public office is never an easy decision to make but it is an important pillar to our democratic process. I want to commend Michele on her dedication to our community. I look forward to running a campaign that focuses on integrity, honesty and the issues that matter the most to the people of Sault Ste. Marie.”
Romano will be seeking re-election as MPP this June after becoming the nominated candidate for the Progressive Conservatives this past November.
Ross Romano was elected at the MPP for Sault Ste. Marie following a by-election held last June to replace David Orazietti who resigned from the position on December 16th, 2016.
