Second Line Now Open


Today at approximately 12:45 p.m. officers with the Traffic Services Division of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service responded to a motor vehicle collision involving a pedestrian near the intersection of Second Line West and Turner Avenue.

A black SUV was travelling Eastbound and struck an adult male pedestrian on the roadway.  The pedestrian was later transported to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.  After the collision, the vehicle fled the scene Eastbound on Second Line West.

The vehicle is described as a black SUV with tinted windows.  It was last seen travelling Eastbound on Second Line West near Turner Avenue.  The area on Second Line West is now open.  Anyone that may have information regarding this collision is asked to contact the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service.

Saultonline has learned that Second Line between Goulais Ave. and Korah Rd. has been closed by the Police.

A witness at the scene told Saultonline that an elderly gentlemen was the victim of an hit and run.  Saultonline has a reporter on scene and will update you when details become known.
