During the most recent city council meeting on Monday May 28th, a portion of the meeting was reserved for responses to the open letter Mayor Provenzano sent to all candidates and party leaders in regards to the Algoma’s Companies Creditors’ Arrangement Act proceedings (CCAA).
In the agenda, Kathleen Wynne is the only leader of any of the political parties to actually take the time and respond to the mayor’s open letter, as well as being the only one to formally commit to her support of Algoma and Sault Ste. Marie. These two acts are cementing the fact that they are dedicated to helping the Soo’s families, workers, and businesses. Jaclynne Hamel points out in a release today.
‘The Ontario Liberal government has pledged to have the best possible outcome for the company, employees, and the community. The liberals have been at the table, working to ensure the success of the steel sector. The liberals have been., and will stay committed to seeing the north thrive.”
You’d think our MPP’s leader would respond. Maybe he doesn’t have Ford’s ear. That isn’t a good sign, this close to election day.

She didnt say a bloody thing, Libs are good at saying something with out saying anything at all, lol.
Anybody with a mechanical brain should see, what she said was objective and had nothing to do with fact!
Hmmmm. Missed opportunity speaks volumes about the other two. Good for you, Kathleen!
Well the steel unions endorsed Ross Romano!! He was listening to there concerns.
Chris Boswell False. One union local held a vote of about 20 members. Not a strong “endorsement”.
She didn’t really say anything
Stating your opinion as fact is not good journalism.
