3 Arrested after Search Warrant

On May 30th, 2018 officers with the Break and Enter Unit, Crime Suppression Unit and Emergency Service Unit of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service executed a search warrant at a residence in the 400 block of Parliament Street.

During the search, officers located a 22 caliber rifle, 2 cans of bear mace and a cross bow.  At the time officers arrested 32 year old Christopher Robinson of Heyden Ontario and 40 year old Angie Shears of Maretta Street.  Later, on May 31st, 2018 officers located and arrested 41 year old Marc Jardine of Van Daele Street.

All three accused of have been charged with:

  • One count of careless storage of a firearm,
  • One count of Unauthorized possession of a firearm,
  • One count of possession of a firearm knowing its possession is unauthorized; and,
  • One count of possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose

Mr. Robinson has additionally been charged with one count of failing to attend court, one count of breach of probation and 6 counts of possession of a weapon contrary to a prohibition order.  Mr. Robinson and Mr. Jardine were held for bail court and Ms. Shears will appear in court on July 9th, 2018.
