A familiar face is returning to Sault College!


On Thursday, the Sault College Cougars hockey team announced that they have signed forward Austin Rowe for the 2018-2019 season.

The 20 year old forward from Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, spent last season with the NOJHL’s Soo Eagles, scoring 6 times and setting up 12 others in 23 regular season games.

On Friday, February 9th, 2018, Rowe recorded his first NOJHL hat trick and four goal game in a 7-1 win over the Soo Thunderbirds at Pullar Stadium.

Rowe, who stands 5’10 and 168 lbs, also led the Eagles in scoring during the 2018 postseason with 7 points in 7 games.

Prior to joining the Eagles, Rowe also played 5 games with the Sault College Cougars during the 2017-2018 season, scoring 9 goals and 21 points.

Despite leaving the Cougars after 5 games last season, he still finished tied with Jason Uhl for the team lead in shorthanded goals with 2.

Uhl, not to mention, will also be returning to the Cougars for the upcoming season.
