Fire on Wellington Street Damages Home

Firefighters responded to a blaze at 50 Wellington St. late Saturday, around 11:30pm. It has been reported by platoon Chief Rob Greve of the Sault Ste. Marie Fire Services that no one was hurt. However, damage to the home is extensive, and spread next door to Sault Ste. Marie International Karate Daigaku. This is one of three residential fires that have occurred this week.

A fire prevention officer will investigate the cause of the fire, which is unknown at this time. Stay tuned as the story develops.
