Katrina Francella, or Koach as she is known by her clients, wants to celebrate her pride and support for the LGBTQ2S+ community here the Sault. Being a huge advocate for positive and safe spaces, she prides herself on bringing people together in a fun and relaxed environment, especially at her gym – ‘The Klub.’
What better time to do that than during Pride Month?
The Pride Month Celebration event will take place on Wednesday June 27th at The Klub, 640/642 Queen St. E. This event is open to everyone, even kids, at all physical levels.
The celebration will consist of a light aerobics workout starting at 6:30pm for free, led by the Koach, as well as a dance and yoga demo class by Koach Cara and Koach Jena.
Following the exercise will be a come and go open house from 7:00pm to 9:00pm. The open house will feature light refreshments and food, a photobooth, kids crafts, music, and gift raffles.
All proceeds from the event will go towards Rainbow Camp, a one-week camp for young people who are LGBTQ2S+ and allied youth, their siblings, and children in Queer families. This camp provides opportunities for campers to make new friends, develop skills through traditional camp programming and an innovative curriculum, honouring creativity, individual choice, and social justice all while having fun.
