Sault Concert Band Debuts


A new addition to the Sault musical scene will make their stage debut this evening at Korah Collegiate.

The Sault Concert Band, under the direction of Ed Dickey brings together the best woodwind, brass and percussion players in the city.

Tonight’s program will feature a variety of exciting selections including the Best of Henry Mancini, John Williams Spectacular, Bohemian Rhapsody by Queen, a medley of classic swing standards and a few Spanish flavoured works.

Students of the Algoma Conservatory’s New Horizons Band program will join the band on stage. This program allows adults to either come back to playing an instrument or learn a new instrument.

The concert takes place tonight at 7:30pm at Korah, admission is $2.00 with a canned food donation to the St. Vincent Place Foodbank.
