Expedia has ranked Sault Ste Marie one of the friendliest cities in Canada. After analyzing more than 750 communities based on visitor reviews the city was ranked ninth in the country.
In an article released last week by Expedia, titled Friendliest Communities (and Towns) in Canada , the city is described as “Located on the banks of the St. Mary’s River, Sault Ste. Marie has always been known for its beauty and easy living. You’ll want to experience the good vibes for yourself.” The report also highlights the Canadian Bushplane Heritage Center and Art Gallery of Algoma. “You’ll see how the lovely area has influenced a wealth of artists,”
Ian Mcmillan, Executive Director of Toursim Sault Ste Marie finds the article especially encouraging stating “It’s great to have our community recognized on the national stage,” he said. “For the city’s high ranking, I give credit to our partners in the attractions and accommodations sector for their solid customer service that continues to highlight the Sault’s warm and welcoming nature.”
