After suffering back to back shutouts against the Steel City Patriots on June 23rd and the Sudbury Spartans on July 7th, the Sault Steelers were looking to snap a two-game losing streak on Saturday as they took on the last place North Bay Bulldogs at Rocky DiPietro Field.
Saturday night’s game was also the final home game for the Steelers 2018 regular season.
The Steelers, who were coming off an embarrassing 35-0 loss to Sudbury, rebounded on Saturday with a 35-0 win of their own against North Bay.
Alonzo Clarke had a pair of touchdowns for the Steelers while Josh Gauthier, Matt Gauthier and Steven Hiiemaa had a touchdown each.
Hiiemaa also finished the game with 202 yards rushing on 25 carries.
With the win, the Steelers have now improved their record to 3-4 while the Bulldogs, who have yet to win a game this season, dropped to 0-7.
The Steelers will play their final game of the regular season on Saturday July 21st, when they travel to Sarnia to take on the Imperials.
