Earlier today, a resident of St. Joseph Island spoke with Saultonline and stated that they had witnessed an OPP C.S.I. (crime scene investigation) vehicle outside of the Post Office in Richards Landing, St. Joseph Island.
A post office employee confirmed with Saultonline that the break-in did, indeed happen, however was unable to provide any details.
A resident of Richards Landing has further confirmed with Saultonline that packages she was expecting have been stolen. This has left her “with a feeling of great unease”, she said.
The OPP detachment in Thessalon was unavailable for comment. Superior Media tried unsuccessfully to reach an officer with the detachment.
