After a year off from competition on the Provincial level, the Soo Black Sox baseball program will make the return to the provincial stage on 4 levels.
Rookie Ball – Little Caesars Black Sox
Our associations youngest squad of 8 & 9 year old’s will hit the road this weekend to take part in the SOBA Rookie Ball Provincial Championships. The Rookie Black Sox have had a tremendous season recording 30+ wins. They captured the Silver Medal this past weekend In Valley East with a strong offensive performance winning 4 of 5 games.
Game 1 is scheduled for Friday at 4:00 pm vs. Milton

Mosquito Division –
The Mosquito Black Sox are traveling to Guelph to compete in the SOBA Mosquito Championships this upcoming weekend. The locals came up short in the semi-finals of the Valley East Tournament this past weekend, so they will be looking to rebound with a strong performance. The Mosquito’s competed in both Ontario and Michigan and overall had a great year. Game one is scheduled for Friday at 6:00pm vs. Oshawa

Pee Wee Division –
The Pee Wee Black Sox are off to Mississauga to compete in the SOBA Pee Wee Championships on Labour Day Weekend. This 12 & 13 year old squad had a very productive season competing in both Michigan and Ontario. Head Coach Mark Caruso has his squad ready to go as their opening game is scheduled for Friday vs. Woodstock

Minor Bantam Division – Elks 341 Black Sox
The eldest group of the Black Sox program will be attending Bolton, ON this coming weekend to participate in the OBA “A” Provincial Championships. Coming off a 1-1-1 record in their last trip South, the locals are looking to make some noise this coming weekend. The Black Sox completed a 40 game schedule in Ontario and Michigan in the 2018 season. First game is set for Friday afternoon at 3:00 vs. Bolton Braves.
