Giovanni’s Italian Festival is about family – extended and otherwise.

Giovanni’s restaurant is hosting its first ever Italian Festival. The festival, which is in place to commemorate Giovanni’s 40th year in business, takes place at 12 pm Sunday August 19th and runs through until 10 pm that night.

It’s free and completely open to the public.

The menu has been released (on Facebook) which includes some favourite classic Italian dishes such as ravioli, pizza, sausages, veal parm sandwiches and much more.

Prizes of serious proportions are also set to be given away the day of the festival. The three main door prizes of the evening include:

-35 kg wheel of Parmesan cheese ($1500 value).

-3 tickets to a Toronto F.C soccer game

-Trip For Two to Italy!

But what kind of festival would it be without entertainment? The day will include live music from “Elvis” at 2pm and at 9pm, The band Flashback to perform at 6pm, and a DJ from Frank Demarco Music Services.

The Giovanni’s parking lot will be fenced off during the event. Parking will be available in the back at Home Depot, Best Buy and other designated parking lots in the area.
