Mauro joins the Beavers

The NOJHL’s Blind River Beavers have announced on Tuesday that they have signed Sault Ste. Marie, Ontaio native Justin Mauro for the 2018-2019 season.

Mauro, who stands 5’5 and 135 lbs, spent last season with the last place GNML Soo Thunderbirds, where he led the club in scoring with 9 goals and 16 points in 21 games.

The 16 year old forward also became the first player in Thunderbirds history to be drafted by an OHL team, after being selected by the Erie Otters in the 15th round (284th overall) in this year’s OHL Priority Selection.
