O’Flynn commits to Cougars

After signing Sooite defenceman Andrew Barbeau on Thursday, the Sault College Cougars men’s hockey team has added another local blueliner on Friday.

On Friday, Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario native Kaelan O’Flynn has committed to the Cougars for the 2018-2019 season.

O’Flynn, who stands 6’0 and 190 lbs, spent last season with the GMHL champion Almaguin Spartans, where he had 1 goal and 3 assists in 8 regular season games.

The 22 year old also won other championships in the past years with other teams, including the Soo North Stars (2013) and the GTHL’s Toronto Nationals (2014).

During his season with the Soo North Stars back in 2012-2013, O’Flynn also played under Cougars head coach Mike Hall.

Starting this fall at Sault College, O’Flynn will be reunited with his former Soo North Stars teammates, including Ryan Vendramin and Brian Kment.

The 22 year old will be taking Police Foundations this fall at Sault College.
