On August 16th, 2018, The M.S. Norgoma played host to municipal candidates for the upcoming election, as well as community members.
The Sault Association of Ratepayers Association organized the informal gathering in an effort to help connect ward and mayoral candidates to their voters. Areas of concern included road maintenance, crime prevention and the neighborhood watch, and the group economic climate election 2018.
The goal of the event was to ensure that all potential representatives acknowledge the needs of this community in accordance to the Muncipal Act. ONNtv was at the event and spoke with a member of the ratepayers association, Bill Murphy, who had a hand in running the evening’s event.
