Ward 2 city councillor candidate Sam Cistaro has announced that he will donate his
first city paycheque to a local foundation in Ward 2 when elected.
“One of the common themes that I heard going door to door was that some of our
residents need a helping hand, even if it’s short term. I have approached a local
organization in Ward 2 and will donate my first paycheque to them. They were very happy
that I recognized them and are rooting for me.”
Cistaro, who along with his wife Kristi, run a small business in the downtown core.
“We have worked hard going into our ninth year on Queen Street East. We thought that
this was a good way to give back to our neighbours that have supported us. This is a
small token but it will come at a good time when that organization will be preparing for Christmas.”
The organization’s name will be made known after the election. Cistaro has been on the campaign trail attending such events such as the James Street Market, the Downtown Street Party and will be participating in the Ward 2 debate on October 9th.
