It’s Fall Festival Friday


October brings many things – Thanksgiving, colourful leaves, and cooler weather. But the most exciting event to happen in October is the Algoma Fall Festival.

All month long Donna Hilsinger joins Tim Murphy, on Mornings with Lou Anne and Tim to talk about the awesome events happening throughout the month.

Tonight, Friday October 12th,  Soulpepper Theatre Company presents, The 27 Club. Five vocalists and five musicians take the stage to pay tribute to the legendary musical artists that tragically left the world at the age of 27. The works and lives of Janis Joplin, Jimi Hendrix, Kurt Cobain, and Amy Winehouse are among the artists that the concert explores.

Sunday October 14th, Forgiveness: A Conversation with Mark & Jeanne takes place at Algoma’s Water Tower Inn. Journalist Jeanne Beker talks to Mark Sakamoto about his family memoire, “Forgiveness”.

The “Dreamers Ever Leave You with The National Ballet of Canada” take place at the Art Gallery of Algoma October 18th to the 20th.  Inspired by the work of Group of Seven artist Lawren Harris, this innovative ballet features the artists of the ballet dancing freely around the gallery among the paintings and audience.

    and then the opening lines are about nothing to do in the Sault? You show the American side……..!!
