John Mellencamp rocks our “Small Town”

John Mellencamp made a stop on his “Sad Clowns and Hillbillies” tour in the Sault to perform in front of a packed house at the GFL Memorial Gardens.

The 67 year old, formerly known as John Cougar in the 1980’s, came out to a thunderous reception from Sooites as they were ready to have a “Wild Night”. The night started with a 25 minute vignette, recapping the quick claim to fame Mellencamp experienced during the 80’s, as well as the hardships they also brought.

The tour finishes it’s Canadian leg in Abbotsford B.C., and the tour in it’s entirety wraps up March 30th in Clearwater, Florida.

And if last night was just not enough to fill your Mellencamp fix, check out his site to keep up to date.

  1. John is still rockin and has had a very blessed career and we who started out with him still love his music. Rock on, John Mellencamp
