This past weekend, the Algoma University Thunderbirds men’s soccer team was in St. Catherines for a two-game road trip against the Brock Badgers.
It was also the final road trip for the Thunderbirds 2018 season.
The men’s Thunderbirds got blanked back to back games against the Badgers this past weekend, losing by a score of 6-0 on Saturday, followed by a 2-0 loss on Sunday.
Arsen Platis scored twice for the Badgers in Saturday’s 6-0 win over the Thunderbirds.
Jared Agyameng also had a multi point afternoon on Saturday, scoring once and setting up another while Alexander Makubuya, Jordan Smalling and Eric Serafino all scored one goal each.
Alejandro Puentes and Marc Iantomasi had one assist each for the Badgers.
Anthony Stott and Alexander May split time in net for the Badgers victory while Thunderbirds goalkeeper Emmanuel Aigbukor made six saves in the loss.
In Sunday’s 2-0 loss to the Badgers, the Badgers scored twice in the second half, getting goals from Jared Agyameng and Arsen Platis.

The men’s Thunderbirds will now play their final two games of the 2018 season this weekend at Superior Heights, with a pair of home games against McMaster University.
Start times for both games, will be at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.
