“It takes teamwork to win a tough tournament like this one. Our goaltending and team defense was solid in all 4 games. Offensively, our team subscribed to the team game”. said Head Coach Michael Magli. “Our passing got better and better as the tournament progressed and we had goals scored from a variety of players. Our preparation paid off as well. This is a young team and it was pretty cool to see them execute and convert on some of our set pieces. I am proud of the teamwork displayed by all 18 girls on this roster.”

The team had a monster season also capturing the championship trophy at the Summer Invitational in Petoskey, Michigan. “We got solid goaltending by Taylor Viotto and Malaya Schikofsky this weekend. Only 3 goals allowed all weekend,” said Assistant Coach Scott Majic. “It was great to see the team come together for a second tournament this year. I am proud of these girls. We faced adversity, came from behind. What a finish!”

The girls squared off against Petoskey White Caps to start the tournament with Charlee Kennedy, Sophia Fata and Celina Pinelli firing goals in the 3-1 victory.
