After two unsuccessful – but close – runs for a council seat over the last four years, ward two resident Luke Dufour has been voted in to represent his ward.

The results were overwhelmingly in favour of Dufour joining the council table, with 2,410 votes, the next closest was newcomer Lisa Vezeau-Allen with 1,464. The two ousted long-time incumbent Lou Turco, who finished with 1,307 votes.

Dufour has already been taking calls and delving into research in preparation for the term commencement.
