  1. It is hard to get arrested in this town..

I can’t count how many times the police have been called to our building for fights & reports of violence, usually over drugs or the lack there of.

They arrive 3-4 hrs later if they arrive at all.. they laugh at the bruises, ignore the busted up furniture, black eyes, broken windows & they accept the explanation of ‘Oh there’s nothing wrong here, we were just playing..’ etc.

Our new ‘hands off’.. catch & release program is a very dangerous approach to law enforcement. They can’t all be confidential informants.. & coddling the criminals, will only lead to an increase in vigilantism.

We’ve become like the ‘Wild West’ of Northern Ontario.. Strange daze indeed.

  2. Clearly an obvious threat but they put him right back on the street anyway. Well this is what happens when you have such a flawed justice system. Condolences to the victims family, this is not right.
