Police are continuing their investigation into threats made last night concerning Superior Heights Highschool.
“As SSM Police spokesperson Sonny Spina indicated, last evening a student from the school made some threats toward other students. We can’t comment further on the nature of the threats as that remains under investigation.” Joe Maurice, ADSB Superintendent of Education, told Saultonline.
Despite the threat the school remained open today,” although as a precautionary measure, to reinforce the safety for all school community members, all exterior doors will be locked. All traffic in and out of the building must be through the front entrance.” Maurice said.
Maurice explained, “ There were no new threats this morning. SSM Police remain onsite, working with Superior Heights staff and those involved in the Thursday incident. As always, our priority is the safety and well-being of all students and staff. ”
