Northern Ontario Tourism Summit returns to Sault

Destination Northern Ontario (DNO), in partnership with Nature and Outdoor Tourism Ontario (NOTO), are pleased to invite operators, tourism organizations, municipalities, all levels of government and all who support or are involved in Northern Ontario’s Tourism industry to the fifth annual Northern Ontario Tourism Summit.

This one-of-a-kind event helps the industry grow tourism opportunities in the North to keep up with a rising demand for visitor experiences.

Join us for true Northern hospitality at Quattro Hotel & Conference Centre November 13-15, where attendees will network with industry partners and take part in workshops relevant to Northern Ontario’s tourism industry.

“Destination Northern Ontario is a proud partner in the Northern Ontario Tourism Summit. It is imperative that we work, learn and grow together to ensure tourism continues to be an economic driver in the North. This is one of the largest gatherings of tourism operators in the province and we are very proud to support them with an event tailored to their individual needs” Marty Kalagian, President, Destination Northern Ontario.

Workshops at this year’s summit include: product development, health and safety training, working with travel media, funding and financing guidance and more. Attendees will also receive information on the latest tourism trends and marketing techniques, and meet the industry’s leading experts.

“This event is the culmination of a successful season for tourism operators in Northern Ontario. Getting together a room full of operators and service providers in the tourism industry who are passionate about sharing their ideas, challenges, and thoughts on moving the needle forward makes this event incredibly exciting. Participating in the Northern Ontario Tourism Summit is a great way to get connected and network with individuals and organizations that will help you grow your business. It’s also a way to learn about funding opportunities and regulations that could impact your business moving forward” says Hilary Chambers, President, NOTO.

Registrants will have access to three days of workshops, events and networking including an amazing line up of guest speakers, an off-site opening reception at the Canadian Heritage Bushplane Centre and the fifth annual Northern Ontario Tourism Awards and Gala.
