Potential For Lots of Snow This Weekend

Just when you thought we were dodging all the snow, a slow moving low pressure system could change that pretty quick. The storm, if it stays on course towards the Great Lakes could begin starting Saturday afternoon.

Currently this system is expected to drop anywhere between 3 to 6cm however that amount could change to as high as 15cm by the time the system moves out of the area.

Special weather statement in effect for:

Sault Ste. Marie – St. Joseph Island
Snow beginning late Saturday night.

Snow is expected to move into Northeastern Ontario after midnight Saturday night. Snowfall amounts of 10 to 15 cm are possible by Sunday evening. The snow is expected to taper off Sunday evening.

Drivers should be prepared for winter driving conditions developing late Saturday night and continuing Sunday.

This wintry weather is associated with a Colorado low that will track through Southern Ontario this weekend.

  1. We are on the northern edge of this storm.(not sure why 15 cm is considered a storm) Lets hope the system slides a little bit more to the east. It is too early for snow,
