Sault College Gets One Million for High Tech Equipment


MP Terry Sheehan, visited Sault College today to announce one million dollars in FedNor funding for the schools, Institute for Environment, Education and Entrepreneurship (iE3).

The funds will be used to purchase state of the art equipment such as 3D printers, drones and ICT equipment.

The equipment parallel’s that used in industry said Dr. Ron Common Sault College President, which will better prepare students for the future.

Sheehan said he was particularly glad that the federal government was getting involved with funding post-secondary institutions. He called the funding critical for growth of the school and the community as well as producing a “talented skilled work force.”
