Saultites Gather Downtown for Moonlight Magic

The Downtown Association hosted their annual Moonlight Magic event last night from 6pm-11pm to kick off the holiday season.

A mild night compared to the weather we’ve been having, over a thousand attendees bundled up for a magical evening of holiday cheer and shopping local.

Stores on Queen Street were opened for late night shopping, offering great event deals and discounts. The hot chocolate competition kept Saultites warm as they shopped, caroled, and snacked their way down our beautifully decorated downtown – the perfect way to ring in the beginning of the festive season!

Mustang Sally entertained the crowd with Christmas songs and classics alike. At 7pm, Mayor Christian Provenzano lit the magnificently decorated Community Christmas tree on the courthouse lawn.

  1. I was upset cause the Tim Hortons hot choc was gone and the batons were too at like 7:05! I have to agree the tree could use an upgrade – hey its never too late!
