Traffic was slowed down at the intersection of Wellington St. and Churchill Blvd. around 10 a.m. Wednesday morning as result of a two vehicle collision involving a white Dodge Journey (photographed above) and a white Subaru Forester.

Sault Ste. Marie Police, Fire Services, and an ambulance responded to the incident.

Sault Ste. Marie Police Constable Sonny Spina told SaultOnline the occupants of the vehicles were assessed on-scene and sustained minor injuries, but no one was sent to hospital.

The investigation is on-going.

  1. Yes, the lights there are slow but the intersection lights at Wellington and Lake are even worse. I have called the traffic division because I watch people cut through the bank parking lot or just go through the light to avoid sitting at a red for 5 minutes going N/S on Lake when there is absolutely no traffic on Wellington.

  2. Speaking of slow, the light change there is the SLOWEST in this town. Trying to turn left off Churchill on to Wellington East leaves you enough time to shave. Ridiculous. Called legal dept at one time and totally blown off.
