Bomb Threat Shuts Down Michigan Sault Hospital


American news sources are reporting an alleged bomb threat to the War Memorial Hospital in Sault Ste. Marie Michigan on Thursday afternoon.

According to sources, the hospital was one of four Michigan hospitals that received an email Thursday indicating a bomb threat. War Memorial received an email at around 1:30pm Thursday.

Sault Michigan Police surrounded the hospital and a K-9 unit was brought in. No evacuations were ordered but only staff and patient family were allowed into the facility until about 4pm . A string of similar emails were reportedly sent to various hospital all over the USA as well as Canada including Toronto, Ottawa, Montreal and Winnipeg .

The hospital is now open to the public however a police presence remains as the investigation continues.
