Male Charged after Disturbance at Police Station

On December 29, 2018 at approximately 9:00 p.m., East Algoma Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) members responded to a male in the lobby of the police detachment in the City of Elliot Lake, Ontario.

The complainant found a confused and intoxicated male wandering around outside in the cold. He was dropped off at the police detachment.

Police attempted to assist the male in finding him a safe place for the night but he was very unco-operative and belligerent.

Police resulted in arresting the male and he was lodged until morning when sober.

Robert Forget, 54 years of age, from Elliot Lake, Ontario was charged with:

  • Being Intoxicated in a public place, contrary to section 31(4) of the Liquor License Act (LLA).
