Sault College Students Raise $5000 for Soup Kitchen

On Friday, December 10th at Soo College, Public Relation students presented the results of their group fundraisers.

The Soup Kitchen had approached the school prior to the year starting, and that’s where things were kicked off. Groups of students in the program were tasked with coordinating an event that would not only bring in a monetary benefit for the non-for-profit, but would also garner more attention from the public about the services offered.

The Soup Kitchen plays a major role in the city, especially during the cold winters in the north, feeding approximately 100 people each day.

The video above features professors from the Public Relations program Gino Cavello and Natasha Deactis, as well as students Pooja and Pushbinder.
