Back in the day, school classes were bused to the studios of CJIC TV on East street where several classes were featured singing Christmas carols in half hour segments that would air early afternoons in Sault Ste. Marie.
ONNtv is proud to say, we’re continuing this local tradition with “Holiday Harmonies”. Two half hour programs featuring students from Boreal, St. Joe’s, Grandview and Queen Elizabeth Public school as well as FH Clergue School, White Pines, St. Mary’s and Echo Bay School.
ONNtv traveled to these schools to take in the season and capture beautiful performances by students of all ages.
The programs will begin airing on December 17th ONNtv at 12:30pm and 4:30pm as well as 8:30pm each weeknight. This allows friends and family members plenty of opportunity to catch the programs.
Holiday Harmonies is just one of our local shows planned for our Christmas broadcasts.
Starting December 17th at 4pm, we present “Holiday Greetings” – where the general public visited our “green screen installation” at the Station Mall over the last few weekends. If you are sitting back thinking, “Awww how did I miss out again!?”, don’t fret… you can still head down to the Station Mall this evening or tomorrow evening and jump in front of the camera for a $5 donation to Christmas Cheer. Those greetings will air along with our travels to various homes to take in their Christmas Light decorations.
We have other holiday programming planned as well, such as some classic Christmas television shows and movies.
It’s beginning to look and sound a lot like Christmas ONNtv!
