Police say no danger to the public after arrests in Kingston, Ont.

KINGSTON, Ont. — The RCMP has arrested two people in what media outlets say is part of a national security investigation in Kingston, Ont.

RCMP confirmed the arrests on Twitter, adding that more information will be released on Friday.

Kingston police also took part in the operation and tweeted that there are no concerns for public safety.

Neither police department could be reached for comment and no other details have been released.

The CBC and CTV quoted unnamed officials and sources as saying the arrests are related to national security.
