
Tarentorus Public School deserves a medal of their own after making a $2,500 donation to the Ontario Winter Special Olympics Organization Monday.
The school raised the funds through many fundraisers, including their Christmas Concert that was held at White Pines. They school raised $2,500, enough to adopt the local curling team competing at the games.
“The students, staff, and our community of Tarentorus Public School would like to take an opportunity to congratulate our local Special Olympian curlers with their future endeavours during this years Winter Games. We hope our donation travels a long way to support, encourage, and recognize their hard work and ambitious goals in order for our curlers to reach and achieve their full potential and success. Go team and good luck.”
The Ontario Winter Special Olympics Games kicks off January 31st in Sault Ste. Marie and runs until February 3rd
