Women, It’s Time to March

Sault Ste. Marie District Labour Council invites the public to join them for Sault Ste. Marie’s first Women’s March.

Women from across the globe are mobilizing on Jan. 19, 2019, to defend their rights and democracy. People will gather in cities across the world to speak up for social and economic justice. SSMDLC invites the public to Walk in Solidarity with members of the community to end violence against women, and bring equity and inclusion to all. They walk for worker’s rights ,civil rights, disability rights, Indigenous people’s rights, LGBTQIA rights, immigrant rights and environmental justice.

Be part of Sault Ste. Marie’s voice!¬†Join SSMDLC from noon until 1:30 p.m. in front of the Court House, located at 426 Queen St E. Bring your sign. This is a family friendly event.

The rally will proceed along the Northside of Queen St. to Bruce St. cross to the Southside of Queen St. walk to Elgin St., south on Elgin St. to Bay St. cross to the eastside of Elgin St. and walk North returning to the Court House.


  1. It has been long overdue that many of both genders assume their responsibility to assert disagreement within civil options.

    I do not at all view public demonstrations to be within good boundaries and true rights.

    • You’re forgetting that today it’s not about what is virtuous or what is right.
      It’s about being professional victims, selling tickets to lectures, universities filling new but virtually useless in real life degrees like gender studies.
      LGBTetc, feminism are industries to be exploited, create revenue and enforce their self imposed superiority.
      Forbid the notion that anyone else has an opinion. Under the New World SJW Order you will be forced to adopt the opinion that they want you to have.
