City Plow Truck on Fire

Sault Ste. Marie fire services and sault police responded to a big vehicle fire involving a city plow truck.

The plow was completely engulfed in flames before firefighters arrived on scene.

Flames and thick black smoke was seen by a resident on the street who called 9-11

The resident was outside shoveling his driveway when he noticed the black smoke coming from the front of the plow.

The city plow driver, who did not want to appear on camera told ONNtvΒ  he was just doing his job when the vehicle started to smoke and then catch fire.Β  He managed to get out of the vehicle with no injuries .

It is believed the cost of a plow runs about $300,000

  1. I think we can absolutely, without a doubt say, that we have incredible firefighters in this city.

    So help me god, if I ever see the city put them on the chopping block again I’m going to lose my mind.
